State of the Odoo Partner Channel in Latin America and Spain, 2026

How many partners there are, where they get clients, who sells, and what happens to their leads. First-party data from 238 sales conversations and 37 meeting notes, the official Odoo directory, and a scan of 1,314 partner websites.

As of September 5, 2026, the official Odoo directory lists 4,390 partners worldwide: 182 in Argentina, 165 in Mexico, 107 in Spain and 275 in the United States. In Latin America, 46% of partners depend entirely on referrals to win clients, one in five has a technical founder selling alone, and where campaigns exist, close rates on inbound leads sit between 2% and 5%. Fewer than one in ten partners with a website has the Meta pixel or the Google Ads tag installed.

How many Odoo partners are there in 2026?

According to the official directory at odoo.com/partners, checked on September 5, 2026, there are 4,390 active partners worldwide: 315 Gold, 879 Silver and 3,196 Ready. 73% of the channel sits at the Ready level, the entry tier.

The directory churns. Between August and September 2026 the global total went from 4,323 to 4,390, and country counts moved in both directions: Argentina fell from 186 to 182 and Mexico rose from 156 to 165. Almost all of that churn happens at the Ready level.

Where do Odoo partners in Latin America get their clients?

Referrals. In 238 sales conversations with partners from Latin America and Spain, recorded between August 2025 and April 2026, 46% (about 110) said they depend entirely on word of mouth and the founder's personal network. In a more recent sample of 14 new prospects, from May to August 2026, 11 named referrals as the ceiling of their growth: 79%.

Referrals work as long as the network holds. The problem shows up when the company grows faster than the founder's network and next quarter's revenue starts depending on a variable nobody controls.

Who sells at an Odoo partner?

In 21% of the 238 cases (about 50), a technical person sells alone: a founder, CTO or consultant who ended up in the sales role because somebody had to. In the 2026 sample, 7 or 8 of the 14 prospects were looking to hire their first salesperson or SDR. The behavior repeats: they would rather have someone sell for them than buy a tool to sell themselves.

What happens to the leads when a partner runs campaigns?

These are the numbers that appear in the 2026 meeting notes, anonymized:

  • One partner closed 2% of roughly 1,000 leads accumulated over 18 months.
  • Another closes between 3% and 5% of its inbound leads.
  • At a third, of 59 leads assigned to one salesperson, 6 were contacted and none reached a meeting.
  • In one operation surveyed, the first contact attempt took 14 business hours on average.
  • Of 34 leads received in one period, 3 qualified for a meeting.

The underlying pattern was already visible in the 238 conversations: 15% of partners have their bottleneck at closing, not at lead generation. When there is no sales process, more leads turn into more uncontacted leads. In more than one case the partner chose to switch campaigns off rather than work the leads it already had.

How much do Odoo partners invest in generating demand?

First-party scan, August 2026, of the websites of 1,314 partners listed in the directory, 1,044 in Latin America and 270 in the United States:

  • Latin America: 550 of 1,044 partners publish a website. Of 466 sites scanned, 33 have the Meta pixel (7.1%) and 44 have a Google Ads tag (9.4%). 74 partners (7%) had active ads in the Meta Ad Library.
  • United States: 157 of 270 publish a website. Of 134 scanned, 6 have the Meta pixel (4.5%) and 11 have Google Ads (8.2%). 41 partners (15%) had active ads on Meta.

Reading: nine out of ten partners with a website neither measure nor buy paid demand. The channel runs on referrals and on the leads the vendor itself distributes.

What changed in 2026?

  • Latin American partners report that Odoo cut back on advertising and presence in the region. This is what partners state in the meeting notes; it has not been verified with Odoo. At one Gold partner, 80% of organic traffic came from companies unhappy with previous implementations, not from new licenses. The older complaint, that vendor-supplied leads were poor, has almost disappeared from the conversation.
  • Buying services became professionalized. Mid-sized partners now ask for three quotes, explicit selection criteria and legal review of the contract. In that segment, buying on trust in the vendor's founder is ending.
  • Fixed cost became the main objection: partners ask to lower the fixed fee in exchange for variable, run measurable pilots before investing, or fund a hire with the savings.
  • Argentina shows supply saturation: 182 listed partners and price pressure on implementation, according to the partners themselves.

Methodology

  • Directory: counts taken from odoo.com/partners on September 5, 2026, by country and by tier (Gold, Silver, Ready). They change week to week.
  • 238 conversations: transcripts of Groowthly sales meetings with partners from Latin America and Spain, August 2025 to April 2026. Frequencies are computed over the total; one partner can appear in more than one category.
  • 37 meeting notes: automatic summaries of meetings from May to August 2026 (14 new prospects, 5 clients, the rest internal). They are paraphrases, not verbatim transcripts: useful for frequencies, not for quotes.
  • Website scan: directory scraping and HTML scan of each site in August 2026, looking for Meta Pixel, Google Ads, Google Analytics and LinkedIn Insight tags, plus a Meta Ad Library lookup by advertiser name. Sites that failed to load were excluded from the denominator.
  • Anonymization: no partner or client name is published. Third-party figures are disaggregated in a way that does not identify the company.
  • Limitations: the 2026 sample of 14 prospects is small; its frequencies are reported as counts (11 of 14), not as a statistical trend. The website scan does not cover Spain.
